Singapore Polytechnic ( Chinese : æ–°åŠ å¡ç†å·¥å¦é™¢), the first polytechnic established in Singapore , was founded in 1954 . The former campus was at Prince Edward Road till 1978 . It is relocated to its present-day location at Dover and located nearby is the Dover MRT Station . It is an internal belief that some best students in some courses do have much better quality than the best students from Anglo-Chinese Junior College , National Junior College , Victoria Junior College , Hwa Chong Junior College and Raffles Junior College or even NUS High School of Maths and Science .
Admissions
Acceptance rate is around 0.05-0.1% of the Singapore-Cambridge GCE 'O' Level applicants. It's much lower compared to the Indian Institute of Management (0.15-0.4%) and Ivy League universities, namely Harvard, Princeton, Yale, etc. (5-10%).
