I'm not sure if anyone still comes by. Actually i'm not even sure if i shld even update this blog. Anyway

Yesterday I have a very bad headache. My brain felt explosive and the pain was really excruciating. I have never had such a headache before.

Being going to the doctor, I sat there for a while thinking. Being the usual paranoid person that I am, funny thoughts were running through my mind and the more I thought, the blurrer things appear to be.

I was fearing for the worst. What if I had some brain tumor? What if my brain was failing me? What if...

Will I be able to say "i love you" to all the people I love?
(and maybe the courage to say to her)
Will I be able to tell some people how I cherish their friendship?
Will I be leaving too many things behind? Too many things undone?

Anyway, KK and TTS are really screwed up.

I just feel bored right now, so I am writing an entry for fun.

People always say that America is the land of opportunities, a melting pot where people of any race creed or religion can co-exist and live the American dream together.

I have always wondered how true is this statement.

Being physically in America pretty much explains the above mentioned statement. Perhaps being in a multi-cultural society in Singapore has made me take societal co-existence for granted. Perhaps I just expect more from a multi-cultural society.

Whites, blacks, Asians, etc. They can have a meal together, talk about football together, play frisbee together. But at the end of the day, their interactions are just limited to this. Explain Asian food to white people, and frankly they wldn't give a damn. Expound the beauty of traditional African music to Hispanics, and they would rather continue munching on their burritos.

At the end of the day, people still agglutinate according to race. People say skin color does not matter in today's societies. How do you define "matter"? It may not be a marker for racial marginalization anymore, not because people overlook it, but because people think it's not fair. Deep down, skin color still brings about an intrinsic affinity for "like" people, I believe.

It may just be semantics, maybe as trivial as it can get - but i believe that ignoring skin color because you have to and not because you choose to are two vastly different things. Having to eat MacDonald's and choosing to eat MacDonald's are different, don't you think?

Skin colors aside, I do not believe America is truly a melting pot. Pour some crude oil, some water and some oil into a pot. Wait long enough and look from the top. The solution looks pretty homogeneous doesn't it?

But is that misleading? Upon closer scrutiny, you will realize the solution still comprises 3 phases. 3 distinct phases.

It seems like everyone in America eats sandwiches and burgers and fries and donuts and the likes *insert high-carbo food* Mainstream food? I beg to differ. People eat it not because they like it, but because it is just so common. My African-American labmate Ada told me about her disdain for the "typical" American food. To be honest, I was surprised to hear her say that.

Anyway I have to end this entry abruptly cos I am leaving for some seafood at Legal Seafood soon (not that there are illegal seafood). Probably having some clam chowder or lobster or some self-proclaimed Boston food. Try asking Ada if she thinks clam chowder is great.

everyday's a new learning experience, today's no different.

today was having another quantum mechanics day... all i can say is that the physics part of it is really really cool. like you can have this photon split into 2 by a crystal and travelling 10billions years towards earth. By using a BS, it takes 2 different path, but by removing the BS just before they reach earth, the wave function collapses and essentially you are changing a point of history 10billion years ago... cool rite?

anyway the math part is really (^n) sian and cheem. I dun understand 99% of it. Seriously there's like a million and one different symbols and somehow physicians like making long equations.

School has been rather busy for me... but it has always been. But beyond that, school has been really stressful, in tangible and intangible ways....

Sometimes I really wonder if that's the real ME i see in school. More often than not, i realise it's just someone I convince myself to me... in short, I am a faker. Do i really mean alot of the stuff I do, the stuff i say, the stuff I show? Just like actors in a play, are they the same once the curtains have fallen?

There's so many things I like to do (for the benefit of readers, I shall not bore you with the long list)... but really, i have no time for them... ermm maybe it's just a lack of effort. Yet in most circumstances, I am overinfluenced by others, to be someone I am not, to like things i do not.

RJC is like a rat race. But I do not like the race - i want to learn at my own pace, do other stuff i enjoy - yet i do not want to do badly (which is what is happening to me right now) will I always be a follower, struggling to catchup with the leading pack? Yet even if i win the race, what does that make me? A rat - albeit a glorified one?

I have lofty ambitions, i admit. I want to make more money, so that I can give my parents the best I can give, and allow them to enjoy the finer sides of life. I want to make a difference in what I do, cos i believe that is ultimately the aim to everything - the light at the end of the tunnel.

But can i do it? Can i release that passion or potential in me to match those dreams? Can i let the real ME take over?

I will be runnning for council! Well it has been something I had really wanted to do, but i guess recas chair kinda swayed me... Looking at the Council Investiture today, I felt genuinely happy for those on stage, i saw young leaders who can make a difference to the school. Yet i felt a slight tinge of disappointment... why did i make all those asssumptions?

In a perverse sense, i think i will enjoy recas even more now. At least I don't have to be afraid of screwing up infront of everyone... at leaset I can do something I enjoy without carrying a boulder of responsibility.

take for example the recent virginia tech massacre. true that i feel sorry for the many victims, but i feel very sad for the killer cho too...

Today after sch I joined my ex cca-mates for soccer. People like Junren, Zijian, Kevin, Jonathan etc turned up, and we had great fun playing soccer, and I was then really emotive for some reason, and began thinking about my RI life...

True that my RI schoollife was very shambolic. I am a loser w/o any achievements or anything that give me some pride... results, cca, awards etc i have nothing to show after 4 years of self wastage...

But for the failure I have proven myself to be, I realise that I have gained a lot from these 4 years, especially in intangible ways.

I have made a core bunch of friends whom I really treasure - whether from CCA, class or certain activities. This friendship is something which cannot be bought, cannot be mugged, but only nurtured over time...

And there's alot of lessons and skills I have learnt... from dealing with people (good or bad), managing myself (albeit with limited success)... I have met my fair share of nice people, and of course my fair share of backstabbers/assholes... and it's gonna be the same when I go to the working world.

What I have achieved during my years in RI can barely fill half a page, but the fond memories and the important life lessons that I have learnt are more than enough to write a book...

somehow, i don't blog often these days... and even in my spasmodic entries, there's nothing substantial, nothing worth talking about, nothing to perhaps suggest a purpose in my unpurposely life....

just returned home from an interview... sighz i shall use a physics anology to describe it.

While i was waiting, it was like jumping off a plane. I was accelerating and my heart was beating faster and faster.

Then i heard the bell. And i took the fateful step in. I had reached terminal velocity then, my heart was beating fast enough and I was to face my ordeal...

And the interview went... and plop! I HIT THE GROUND!! it was so sudden, so prompt, so unexpected yet expected. And most importantly, it was BLODDY PAINFUL! I just feel so hurt

And by the time i left the room, I was pronounced dead, the fall was really terrible.

i just hate elections... it just goes to show the two-sided nature of people. On one hand, the candidates suddenly become nicer people, and do things to "bribe" the voters. They just transform miraculously into someone friendlier, nicer, and totally opposite to how you had previously known him/her.

But it's the period after the elections that bothers me. From experiences, all that smiles faked, all that facade put up, all that faking portrayed, will be chuck aside as soon as the voters cast their votes. The voters suddenly find themselves at the mercy of the people they had voted in, and all that pampering will stop.

Yeah blogging again. A few things to update...

1. CNY.. wahh it's quite tiring, with all the overnight mahjong/cards, and the house visiting. Though my economy is significantly strengthed, and my social circle too haha xD

2. Homework is killing me. Cos i only started doing my homework this afternoon, and obviously it's not enough. Of course being very shagged from a few days of vigorous celebrations doesn't exactly help =(

3. 1/5 '97 gathering today!! woot so cooling meeting some old friends. Well in general we all haven't changed that much, but still there's some great changes (lol contradiction?) For example, Cassie (dou dou) has such a cool accent after staying in Canada for so long... Shishuang seems prettier now. Shentong is so much taller. Stella is quite the same old her haha

4. I just realised raffles people can talk/write crap very well. So today afternoon, I just decided to anyhow write/compile some information for the SEAYC report... and soon it was completed, decently done i guess. And soon, Shuting sent another edited version (with alot of added parts) and it looks so professional already! wow

5. Shit, it sucks to be doing ur GP essay when half of u feel like sleeping and the other half feel like slacking... bleargh GP sucks!

by popular demand. i shall update my blog o.O
work is well.. i suppose, getting better. Thing is I don't really like working with my partner. Things would have been better if I'm working with my store manager all the time. In this particular store, there's only 3 of us, so there isn't much of a choice eh?
I learnt a few interesting stuffs bout Raffles students from the past 2 weeks @ work. I shall briefly list them out. Enjoy.
1) Raffles JC Student(s)* don't know how to cook cup noodles.It's like this. 3 girls came into the store to get one cup noodle for one of the 3. Yea, nothing special. So they purchased the cup noodle first, and then proceeded to the hot water section. Next, they tore off THE ENTIRE COVER, added hot water, and IMMEDIATELY CAME TO ME AND SAID, 'the water is not hot enough it doesn't cook leh.. ' (excuse me, it's instant noodles but it's NOT THAT INSTANT) and followed by the most raffles-like question by another girl in the trio which goes.. 'can we put it in the microwave?' ok great actually i myself am not really sure if the cup noodle plastic can stand the microwave, so i told them, if you're sure it works, by all means go do it. and then, the last girl of the trio went 'can one! I did it before!'
ok so they went to the microwave and put the cup noodle into the microwave. moments later, they took it out, and i knew something must have happened and i kept quiet. they just immediately went out of the store with the cup noodle, without even getting chopsticks from me HAHA.
AND THEN, i proceeded to the microwave, opened it, and saw that the soup was spilled all over the microwave. Yea, and who clears the mess? Me lor.
Moral of the story - Never put your cup noodles into the microwave.
2) Raffles JC Student(s)* can't read instructions.
Title is self explanatory, so i guess i won't elaborate much on it. Put it simply, i've come across too many RJC students coming to me, asking me how to cook this and that and what button to press on the microwave etc.
READ THE DAMN INSTRUCTIONS IDIOTS.
3) Raffles Institution student(s)** don't know that a shelf is not for throwing rubbish.
Let's just say, RI kids really love 7-11. The store is EXTREMELY PACKED during their recess / breaks. So packed that you can't even see who paid and who haven't. It's that bad, the store is already small enough.
So anyway, RI kids love cup noodles and slurpee so much they eat them everyday I don't know when their hair will fall off and ants will invade their underwear. That's not my problem. My problem with them is, they throw ALL THEIR RUBBISH (cup noodle seasoning packets etc etc) on the shelf where they prepare their food and spill slurpee all over the floor during their attempt to make their money worth when dispensing slurpee.
all these, when the rubbish bin is just beside them.
4) Raffles JC guy(s)* are sissys.
Ok there was this guy who came to get a SUPER big gulp. He dispensed sprite into his gigantic cup, and all the way til the brim. Right before the water level hit the brim, an ant popped out of the dispenser. He immediately turned to me, gave his cb face, and said.
'WHY IS THERE AN ANT IN UR BIG GULP?'
before i even had the chance to say anything, he poured the whole cup away and tried again. It's just an ant dammit. JUST USE UR FINGER AND PICK IT OUT LA.
so what can i say about RAFFLES students?
1) they can only study.
2) they are spoilt nerds who can't cook cup noodles.
3) they are dependent nerds who can't rely on themselves such as reading simple instructions.
4) they show no concern to other people by littering all over the place.that is all. thank you for reading =D

Actually i hve nothing much to blog these days.... cos i am always watching tv and therefore sleeping very late and then feeling too tired in sch ><

A few updates.

The buffon needle elective is damn cheem, and makes me feel really giddy while listening (was sleepy anyway already) and with the lecturer enthusing about how easy it is..... bleargh. But it's really magical how they can derive the exact value of pi from experiments (even buffon took 44 years to solve that)

Had math test. Somehow tests aren't as important as those in RI cos they aren't counted, plus my class is damn slack anyway - too slack - and for me i forgot to study for it, REALLY. And even then i can do the test, showing it's quite easy. But honestly, I have to stop being so slack alraedy.... lagging behind in everything =(

Saw the council's nomination list.... wow that's a hell lot of names. 400+ ppl is like 1/3 of batch, not considring the 2nd intake peoplel.... well anyway congrats to my frriends who got thru the first hurdle and hope you succeed! For me although i was initially wanting to run, but later felt i had other priorities (like watching tv!) And it's really surprising how some certain people are running for council also.... lol hope you become a laughing stock!

And yes, tomorrow's V-day! the day everyone's been waiting for! but poor me has no valentine so I am spending my time at home watching tv... haiz. Sad case right?

i am complain-king!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I write to relate my unpleasant experience at Bukit Batok Junior Mart (Address: Block 376 Bukit Batok Street 31 #01-116), one of the stalls under the Shop N Save brand name under Cold Storage.

On Friday, 9 February 2007 at approximately 9.39 pm, I patronized the abovementioned store and intended to purchase a bottle of Unif Green Tea at $0.80. However, I realized after I paid that I was charged $1.00 for the bottle of drink. When I approached the cashier regarding this issue, I was told that the offer on the can of Unif Green Tea was over. I was bemused as to why an eye-catching offer label was placed on the shelf even after the offer has expired. I probed further into this issue, and was told by the cashier, “It is not my job”, in a very discourteous manner. How the cashier treated me added to my displeasure.

It is extremely unfair to the customer that Shop N Save places offer labels on the shelves of your outlets after the expiry of the offers. Put harshly, this is a form of deceit; customers should not be misled to purchase an item at a price beyond what he or she is prepared to pay for it.

“We always care for our customers” is a line that appears in the mission statement of Cold Storage. Certainly, this entails the addressing of valid concerns by customers, including this one, and ensuring that every customer is treated courteously by your cashiers and store assistants.

Thus, I would like Cold Storage to look into this matter and offer me a satisfactory explanation regarding the placement of offer labels on the shelves even after the offers have expired, and on the lack of courtesy I experienced when dealing with the store cashier. I also hope that Cold Storage will take actions to prevent similar incidents from recurring.

today had soccer with the RIRC FC ppl... anyway our record against sports team isn't THAT fantastic now... last time we used to beat rugby, polo, scouts etc. Today we could only draw with rj soccer. but anyway our gang is really fun and rocker! =)

Also got back o level results today... well i think i am satisfied. Just think it's kinda weird cos some damn zai ppl din get a1 while some lousier ppl did much better. Life's unfair... what can you do?

still not feeling well, with a very shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiity sore throat X_x

so woke up today... was feeling some pressure but was still coughing badly. Took mrt to buona vista and started meeting a lot of ppl i know, like lixing, juanhe, junren etc. Then boarded 95.

So the first face i saw was on my left, charlene, my OG mate. So i said hi to her. Then the next thing i saw was the gal behind her, whom i think is chua jiani, my pri sch classmate who's in acjc now. But i wasn't really sure it was her, so i was quite tentative as to whether i shld say hi and was just staring at her.

And when i sat down nearby, i realised the gal infront of me is audrye!! (which is like just to the left of charlene.... just that i was staring at jiani i din notice) and all along she's been there! bleargh.... wahh

So went nus for the aptitude test. I did bcm, cos i heard physics was quite hard... and the whole lt was spammed with rjc ppl.... wahh hardcore. Anyhow did my questions la, hope can do okie... meaning i dun get a negative score ;)

After that i took 95 to buona vista, train to clementi and 156 from clementi to sch. So i alighted beside rjc and i realised the bloody gate is locked!!! wahh so i tried walking down... and towards the tracks part, i realised it wld really be a hardcore walk. So i just took a cab so that it can detour and enter rjc through the other gate... 3 bucks wasted ><

So there was the SEAYC "training camp". haha actually it's quite fun, and the ppl there are quite funky also.... just that i wasn't feeling too well so wasn't too enthu... and there seems to be many moor-tarbet ppl there.... including me

Towards the end, esp after mr surprise came, i was feeling really tired and sleepy, and was soo soo relieved when the whole thing ended. So i took 157 for the 6A gathering. alighted at wrong busstop and went wrong macdonald.

Finally met up, and in fact i wasn't even late! lolz. actuallly it's kinda nostalgic to see so many classmates again.... and many of them have changed so so much.... some went diff jc all over singapore, some went poly, some working now, some who look so much different now....

So we had a birthday celebration, well including mine. It was kinda childish but hahaha... nvm.

anyway chelsea-charlton starting soon...must go watch =)

Well well despite not supporting Singapore team, i decided to watch the Singapore-Malaysia match on tv yesterday... Spore was really playing like shit, trying long balls which din even meet their targets.... and malaysia scored a goal due to the keeper lionel lewis screwing up...

and of course the home support was way too pathetic. Din inspire the team at all, that's why the team was so lethargic maybe? but eventually the singapore team was fortuitous as usual , scoring the equaliser and forcing their way to the penalty shootout where it was all luck, and spore's luck triumph again. Good result, bad game

Today was rather tiring, but had class outing in the afternoon at east coast part. quite fun, ms wong treated us to ice cream at gelare =P and the guys played soccer too

i think i'm a dreamer.

maybe it's because i'm too entrenched in the past, basking in former glories (almost non-existant) and wallowing in countless past failures...

maybe i fear for the present, with anxiety welled up in me, and an apprehension for an ambiguous form of uncertainty that just seems to tail me no matter where i travel...

maybe the future just seems too grim and bleak, almost like a play with me as the puppet, performed to the mockery and jeers of the audience...

that's why i need to daydream (or nightdream), for it represents a glimpse of hope for me, however unlikely it seems to be and offers some form of solace and comfort from agonizing truths- the harsh rationalness of reality.

in daydreams, i can picture myself with you, appreciating the loveliness of the stars, and the endless expanse of skies, a domain that truly belongs to our imagination and boundless love.

then i realize, slowly and painfully. everything is an illusion. if only the world wasn't so logical, there would be endless possibilities. if only daydreams were true, if only...

anyway i was just chatting with topbrains yak xinyang about popular science, and it suddenly dawned upon me the essence of knowledge.

firstly, no amount of knowledge is enough knowledge. Like if some dude come along and say that the universe is made up a z- dimentional space where z is some complex number, how can you show otherwise? or even more simply, if another person says that if you mix acetone with pear juice and get a super solvent, how do you tell if it's bullshit?
we can't get enough knowledge in our whole life. there's breadth problem- how can we know everything under the sun? there's depth problem- do we really know enough in what we think we know? and of course there's practical problems, like forgetting what you know and not knowing how to put into practice what you know... *okie, i'm starting to sound like bullshit myself*
and then i realise, KI is actually a very important topic. it's precisely because we will never know enough, and knowledge is like an endless expanse of ocean that we can never consume, so we must know how to deal with knowledge. How to discern knowledge that we need, knowledge that we trust, knowledge on different levels....

secondly, knowledge is everywhere, taking on a myriad of forms and permeating every corner of our lives. We are fortunate that we often take what we know for granted. And we are even more fortunate that we as humans, highly intelligent beings, can process knowledge in such an incredible way.
There's many facets of learning that only humans can do, far beyond the potential of most animals. Why fixed action patterns in animals, cos it makes life much simpler for their limited intelligence. Cos it is an apt replacement for their lack of knowledge, or lack of ability to process knowledge. When we wake up, brush our teeth, eat a meal, play some sports, we take all these for granted. It seems too brainless to implore the significance of such routine events, because we are too brainy.

Ultimately, learn from others, make yourself permeable to the wealth of knowledge that everyone around you possesses. knowledge does not just come from the textbooks, for that is just regurgitation. knowledge cannot be tested by exams, because knowledge emcompasses so much more.

sian haven't been doing my tutorials and stuff... cos ithink i am too busy wif stuff here and there... bleargh and cca haven't even started yet!

And i was ALMOST tricked into thinkng the chem department is very slack. Like i tot they only teach a lot and no hw, but today everyone was asking me about chem tutorial and i was like "huh? there's chem tutorial?" .... wahh. And they purposely make it seem very little cos everything write outside... cunning chem department *(and my tutor say that ws the bare minumum)

Had no lectures which was good in a sense, cos the seats get pretty uncomfy after some time (though it's hell better than Ri lts, which are totally crap!)...

Oh yar my class quite enthu, with Alex as the CT rep. Today we all went for OG lunch (met audrye's class on the way) at J8 and guess what? We played hide and seek at J8 after that!! lmao!! hahahahah and eunice was the winner!! cos she was apparently hiding at Fair Price where i was searching and in the end she ran away from me when she saw me.... rofl

first we decided to move our OG corner from the lodge to the canteen!! haha that's more convenient. and once AGAIN there was no assembly..... for no apparent reason. Makes me wonder if there will EVER be assembly.

My GP teacher sounds quite interesting and a fun person to talk to... in a sense she kinda reminds me of Jacq Sim (my SS teacher last time). Yeah and i think i gonna like GP! =D

After a lot of boring lectures, went back to RI to eat. The canteen was okie la, but expectation was just too high i guess. And din get kampung drumstick ><

had OG activity at around 3.30. Netball. played with some J2s. but we fared quite well. And since i'm not the sporty type of person, i think i played okie... very fun though! i think it's my first time playing netball! lol

later also played with Ali's OG, with these really imba RG netballers..... wow they are damn zai, almost playing it like an art.... oO

was really tired, and took 157 home. Met Zhengxiao, who's a pretty nice guy. And something quuite amazing happened. Cos along the way home, i saw this chio HCJC gal whom i know (dammit , forgot her name...) and we just happend to have eye contact at the same point of time thru the bus window. Wow, and that was really short, and we both smiled at each other... haha what a coincidence

And not long after, there was an almost identical incident where i saw my pri sch classmate Carolyn Tien (who's also from HCJC) But sadly we din manage to catch each other's attention...

Now i'm really tired.... gotta sleep soon sayonara~

it just seems everyone's evolving so fast, taking on a new identity, and being just so so different... whether in personality, or the personality he/she purposely exudes, whether in looks, or the looks he/she tries hard to portray, whether in thinking, or the perception that he/she has been brainwashed to adopt....

changes are inevitable, more so the changes in people. Like what people always say, the only constant thing in life is changes...

Finally i'm blogging again!

Ytd was OG outing and it was real fun man! I went NTU in the morning and got pretty stsressed out first. After that we met up at Holland V for lunch (though i personally think holland drive is better)

After that we took a bus to a shopping center but the pool center was full... bleargh ><. I mean like the whole shopping center was like empty other than the pool center... suay sia

So we went Brian's house which was quite big and has 4 dogs (!!) So at first we were spending a lot of time discussing costumes.... which i personally thought was a bit sian. After we played lotsa games... some were really hilarious!!!

Like the polar bear game, we just kept on killing the Guru first... was damn funny hahaha. Weizhong was also very funny, like remembering Elaine as Selina LMAO!! In the final game, i got a forfeit and it was passing a piece of paper by lips lol

Finally we had dinner and chatted a lot again.... finally got home at around 11pm!! woot

And today is my birthday too!! Hope all my family and friends are happie alwayz~

Wahh these few days were still OG activities.... make me very tired cos there's so much activities in the day and still got games/dinner at night. So I am getting home very late everyday, like 10pm, and feeling completely shagged...

Ytd had station games. Today had this external hike, for my OG was at chinatown. It was modelled after Shi Zhi Lu Kou... not abd program! =D And we ate all kinds of weird stuff, like green pea paste in raw cabbage? hahahahaha

And i've met my class too..... bleargh it doesn't look too promising at the moment. The only guy i know are Chengjie and Yuankang. Really hope it's aright.... bleargh. Although my Civics Teacher looks quite amiable and fun! haha maybe my first gd FT since Mr. Otto Fong? xD

And tmr's packed as well... still got lots of other non-sch stuff to settle.... tired.

Back here!!

Today I had my first day in RJC! (actually technically it's yesterday.. but nvm). I dunno if I was too excited, but i only fell asleep at 1++ am..

Somehow, it's a totally different feeling from being in RI. Like the fork after the traffic lights while walking to school, the RI boy will walk left while the RJC gal/boy will turn right... simple things like this may be insignificant, but it's about an identity issue too... and somehow when i look at the RI buildings now, i just kind of feel it's not my school anmore ><

We had our OG stuff... my groupmates are quite nice. And arvind who was my pri sch classmate is in my OG too!!! wow what a coincidence! and somehow other than Kevin and Brian, I know all the guys in my OG beforehand already.... so it isn't much of an excitement either...

I do want to thank the OGLs cos i think they've really put in a lot of effort, esp being an ex-PSL myself. These OGLs really spent a lot of efforts on the deco, storyline, dance etc etc. THANK YOU! =D

And recently I have started visiting STOMP and posting comments there. Some singaporeans are really hard to argue with... bleargh nvm.

woot sch is starting tmr!!!

Today was quite a nice day. At first met up with gym hunks Alwyn and Hong Cheng and we took a train to Cityhall. Hongcheng and I had a haircut.. i think it's gd but nothing special. Hc's hair looks good =P

So after that we had subway again.... lol and after i bought my foot long sandwich, i went to look for the toilet and pass by all the shilin eateries, japanese eateries etc which all took so attractive... sigh but the sandwich is healthy lol xD

Watched the 4pm show on DeathNote 2. No spoilers but it was really a great movie, worth the hype. I mean I really liked the storyline and the themes behind the story... and of course the gals are soooooo cute. Hc like this misa gal (i agree is cute) but alwyn concurs with me that the newspresenter Nana Katase looks better hehe

If you haven't watched it go watch it! It's worth the money!!

Happie new year everyone!!!

Well today was a rather fun day.... afternoon we went to Istana. I know it's nothing exciting cos i've been there on countless occassions, but there is just this wonderful festive atmosphere there, like families and friends :)

After that we hopped down to chinatown to have dinner with one of my Dad's ex sec-sch classmate. Haha i enjoyed the food there. Ate a lot man, like a pig wolfing down everything in sight... wahh really bloated now. My sis ate a lot too but she threw it all up while eating the dessert...

So got home but wasn't really much countdown shows (and btw i seldom watch the local channels...) but saw the fireworks at Taipei 101 and it was real nice...

Oh yar, I do want to talk about desposed Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, who has been sentenced to death and was executed today.

No doubt he was a cruel dictator, but given his authority, it was inevitable that he abused his power and ruled Iraq with an iron grip... As the saying goes, absolute power corrupts absolutely. It can also be argued it's due to his totalitarian rule that Iraqi did not face the quagmire of troubles that it is experiencing today. And perhaps it was also his bad luck that Iraq is plentiful with oil, causing the Bush Administration to target him.

The American administration is a very pragmatic one, and of course being the world's sole superpower enables them to coin terms and cook up incidents to suit their political purposes. Like Pinochet of Chile, who was perhaps an even greater dictator, and engaged in various human rights abuse and corruption. But since the American government had given him the mandate to rule, he was awarded the freedom to do whatever he desired.

Moving on to another example. After emerging as victors from the Pacific Theatre of War in WWII, the American administration did not persecute anyone from the Japanese Unit 731, a notorious organization which had engaged in the most atrocious of acts. Why? Because the Americans wanted the results from their bloody experiments.

Double standards perhaps, just goes to show that it's often greed that dictates politics...

imagine this. U are waiting for a bus, all the buses come except the bus you want to take... eg. 157. And u start getting worried. Then suddenly 4 157 come at one shot...

That's exactly what happend with my OG. after waiting for so long, I suddenly got info about my OG all at once... lol?

And the ridiculous thing about OGs is that it's based on academics... like 01 being the best and 12 being the worst... Not really discrediting this system, at least I am more aware of how cmi i am...

Today was a pretty fun day...

Firstly it was sleeping late. Then after a heavenly *beauty* sleep, I went to Jurong Point to meet up with Ali Alwyn and Hong Cheng. Cos they just returned from the spanking new Jurong West Gym (wow...)

Anyway Ali left first cos he apparently got a date with 3 hot babes... ice skating somemore! So we had the super healthy (and tasteless) Subway meal!! With the hunky Alwyn and Hong Cheng.. wahh i really feel inferior next to muscle men ><

Looked around for bags at Jurong Point but the choices are really limited. Really i stress. Eventually we decided to hop down to the city area for more choices...

The crumpler bags were nothing special imo, and incredibly overpriced!! Though Hc bought a nice bag with my advice hehe. The adidas one not bad - nearly bought it but din like the color. Eventually settled on a DC bag xD

School's starting soon... and i haven't gotten a call from my OGL yet!!!
